Man from Snowy River Museum's Shop › Photocard: Corryong Main St.

Photocard: Corryong Main St.

$4.00

When I think of Corryong, I often imagine this scene today. Standing outside IGA chatting with locals and looking over the street to see the Op shop, Roger C Brown and Memorial Hall. This artwork was created by overlaying a modern photo with one of the historical photos by Arnold Playle. It is made of deleux paper with a gloss finished. It’s size is A5 (21. x 14.8 cm). The reverse has a description of the artwork, mentioning Roger C Brown, once the Coffee Palace, Playle’s Stationary Store, until recently Rubys and not Corryong’s Craft store and a short description of the importance of this area in the Upper Murray.

A delightful image to ponder Corryong’s past, present and future.
